My name is Elizabeth A Nelson-Caskey. I was born in Louisville KY on Sepbter 27, 1979. I grew up enjoying art and media. I knew when I grew up I wanted to have a career combining the 2 mediums. After high school I went to Ivy Tech State College in Sellersburg IN for Visual Communications. I worked in a label factory while in college. I then got a internship working for a TV Station as a Graphic Artist in Louisville KY. I then worked part-time at the CBS affiliate in Louisville as a production assistant. I moved on to Indianapolis, IN for about 2 years working as a broadcast designer for WRTV-6. Later on I was laid off from that TV station. At that point I moved back to Louisville where I enventually became a graphic artist/ communications assistant for the KY United Methodist Conference. I then went fulltime at another Local TV station as a broadcast designer for WHAS-TV.

In my personal life I met my husband, Eddie Caskey, wed him in October 2006 in Crestwood KY. Which you see a wedding pic above because I really don't have to many photos I like of myslef. I then gave birth to a baby boy on September 5th, 2007. My son Joshua Caskey is the joy of my life. He is the reason I decieded to keep up with my studies and I went back to school in winter 2008 to Strayer for Web Development. Prior to that I had been in and out of school. It's a personal goal of mine to actually go back to IUS, Indiana University Southeast to finish my BFA after I finish my Bachelors from Strayer in CIS.

But I left the TV station to pursue an oppurtunity I had to work from home doing freelance/contract work in Web Design/Internet Marketing. This has freed me up to be able to stay home with my 2 year old son during the day. It's been great to see him grow and develop. I may have more children here in the next few years. We'll just see how the future plays out.

For right now I just need to get through school and build my portfolio and skills up. I really don't have any hobbies since I am really pretty busy. But below are some links of websites I enjoy for entertainment and for tutorials:

http://www.lynda.com/

These usually aren't free. But the are great tutorials. The site has a nice design.
